LaBella Bean Opens a Second Location in North Oakland

(Pittsburgh, PA) – LaBella Bean Coffee House and Eatery, which has operated a successful business in the South Hills for more than 10 years, has opened a new, second location in North Oakland – just inside Pittsburgh Filmmakers' headquarters on Melwood Avenue.

The family-owned eatery, featuring specialty coffees and teas, as well as breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts, opened on Washington Avenue in Bridgeville in June 2001.

La Bella's new location is on the first floor at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, which houses the PF School, Galleries, administrative offices, library and the Melwood Screening Room. The coffee house has its own entrance, and free parking is available on the street or in a small lot on the side of the building.

The menu features many favorite items from their original location, such as Nunny's Wedding Soup, and Turkey Provolone on Basil Focaccia, but owners Debbie Massetti and Leslie Bonaccorsi are open to adapting to the local clientele. “So far, 'the Massetti,' a vegetarian panini is a hit,” they said. Items are available for dine-in or take-out; with seating for about 20.

LaBella Bean's hours at this location (477 Melwood Ave) are: Mon – Fri, 10:00am to 6:30pm.
