yART Sale: Sunday June 28, 2015
Pittsburgh Center for the Arts holds an annual “yART” sale – a creative spin on the traditional yard sale – on the lawn, every summer. Adjacent to Mellon Park, PCA's tree-lined campus is at the corner of Fifth and Shady in Shadyside. Admission is free; and hours are 10:00 – 4:00, rain or shine.
The annual outdoor event features approximately 70 local artists. They are cleaning out their studios to bring affordable art, equipment and art supplies. Expect to find ceramic pieces, photographs, jewelry, art books, fabric, unframed prints, glass pieces, and collectibles.
“It's just a great opportunity for folks to get outside, meet local artists, and find a few art bargains,” says Tiffany Whitfield, manager of The Shop at PCA
yART Sale prices range from 50 cents to 200 dollars, with most items at bargain-basement prices. All proceeds benefit the programs of PF/PCA.
