Painted Bones and Hyperlinks

Through video, craft-inspired sculpture, and two-dimensional works Crosby combines seemingly unrelated contexts into forms that are both mysterious and spontaneous. The sculptures in this show are “linked” to each other from web-surfing, online research, and other associative processes.

Currently a New York-based multimedia artist, Crosby lived and worked in Pittsburgh for several years where he was an artist-in-residence at Artists Image Resource, organizer of exhibitions, and instructor at Carnegie Mellon University and Chatham University. He holds an MFA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. and a BFA from the University of Alabama.
