Matisse in Morocco,#TP1
(Text booklet and 8 slides)
During the winters of 1912 and 1913, Henri made two visits to Morocco that were to have pro-found influence on his work. This pivotal time in his artistic career resulted in the production of 23 large and colorful paintings and over 60 drawings and pen-and-ink sketches. The National Gallery was one of the organizers of Matisse in Morocco, the first exhibition to focus on this period. The teaching packet contains a booklet with discussion of Matisse's work in Morocco, teaching activities, bibliography, glossary, and color slides of eight of the artist's works.
