AUGËRE Online Auction is live: Browse the Artist of the Year Auction Catalogue and Bid Online Here

Two new exhibits open July 2. On view in the galleries July 2 – August 30 is Map of Everything, which includes both indoor and outdoor, large-scale textile works by artist Sheila Klein, who is renowned for her public art installations. Also opening: AUGËRE, a selection of donated works created by former Artists of the Year recipients throughout the past 60 years. This exhibition of works will be auctioned to begin an endowment for future recipients of this award. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009: 5:30 to 8:00pm.

Our Mission

Pittsburgh Center for the Arts

Founded in 1945, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is a non-profit community arts campus that offers arts education and programs and contemporary art exhibitions, providing services and resources for individual artists throughout Western Pennsylvania. The Center is where the community can create, see, support and learn about visual arts.


In January 2006, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts merged with Pittsburgh Filmmakers.

PF/PCA is committed to the artist and the advancement of artistic excellence in visual arts.

The staff at PF/PCA agreed what we all need is a summer of fun – real laugh-out loud comedies. After much discussion of favorites, the list was narrowed to 13 titles, all-American comedies made between 1934 and 1999.
