THU, JUL 12 — OLUYEMI THOMAS
Oluyemi Thomas plays clarinet, saxophone, percussion and multiple other instruments. He is the co-founder, along with his wife Ijeoma, of the renowned free jazz group Positive Knowledge, based in San Francisco for over 25 years. Thomas is a member of the Baha'i faith and believes "music should lead to spirituality." As a creative musician, performer, recording artist teacher and engineer, he seeks to express his abiding love for the hidden power of art.

SUN, AUG 12 — JOHN BERNDT and GEODESIC GNOME
John Berndt, of Baltimore, is best known as an experimental extended-technique saxophonist, electronic musician, and philosopher. He organizes the Red Room collective and the High Zero foundation. Geodesic Gnome follows from the refined flavors of self-reference, those peculiarities of recursion which help to separate a thing from ... itself. Their music may or may not exist, depending on epistemological preferences.

TUE, SEP 18 — FROM BETWEEN TRIO
A collaboration of musicians from three continents: Tatsuya Nakatani, percussionist from Japan and now living in the US; Michel Doneda, saxophonist from France; and Jack Wright, saxophonist from the US. The trio has evolved through their touring efforts and their search for new musical experience. This is no ad hoc group, but a story of each player finding those others who will create just the right musical challenge and chemistry, then taking it further.
