I became an artist
the moment I found out I could take something I felt and make
it real. Overtime, I have realized that the media that makes
things more real thru me is fiber. Fiber is a vast and intricate
genre that continues to thrill and transport my inner world
to the outside.
Touch has been
created specifically for the visitors of the Fiberart International
2004 at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. After many moments
of "not quite getting it," I found my inspiration
in a dream image on a frustrating day and, in all places,
an outfit I picked out on a sleepy morning. I guess my barely
conscious mind knows what it is doing.
In Touch, I welcome people to interact with
textures and color, two elements that infinitely inspire.
Feel freely and enjoy.
