Forum includes:

  • John Edgar Wideman, Award-winning author of Brothers and Keepers, a memoir of two brothers – one a respected novelist, the other a fugitive wanted for robbery and murder.
  • William DiMascio, Recently Retired Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Prison Society
  • Bill Stickman, Former Warden of Pittsburgh’s Western Penitentiary.
  • David A. Harris,  Attorney and Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
  • Bill Moushey, Former Director of Point Park’s Pittsburgh Innocence Institute.

Plus photographs from Mark Perrott’s book, E Block, will be on display. A collection of striking images taken from the graffiti-covered walls of Western Penitentiary, E Block was the result of over a year’s worth of Mark’s work, photographing and transcribing the words and drawings of prisoners scrawled on the walls of cells reserved for first-time offenders and parole violators. A limited number of signed first editions of the book will be available for purchase.
