PF/PCA members are invited to apply for a group exhibition in the Video Room at PCA during the 2012 calendar year. This opportunity is open to artists with a current membership working in video, film or animation.

Submission Deadline: Proposals must be post marked or delivered by March 16, 2012.

Exhibition Dates: May 11 – July 22, 2012

Selection Process: Submissions will be reviewed by the curatorial staff of PF/PCA. Notification of selection results will be mailed April 6, 2012. Additional work or information may be requested for review.

How to Apply: Work submitted for exhibition must have been completed within the last two years, and must be single-channel video, spanning three to five minutes in length. Artists may submit up to three final works for consideration. The selected videos will be screened sequentially in PCA's Video Room. It is recommended that artists consider the viewing context when selecting a video to submit. Please complete a submission form and include documentation and all requested support materials.

Gallery Space: The video room at PCA is for the presentation of moving images in a gallery setting. Its ongoing presence within the PCA’s ten galleries, showcasing the continuum of visual art disciplines, highlights the importance of video as a contemporary art form.

Entries: Artists must include no more than three finalized works of single‐channel video spanning from three to five minutes in length on a CD or DVD.

  • All videos should correspond to the List of Entries.
  • Filename must be as follows: artist’s last name, number as listed on transcript of works, key word from title.

For example: smith-01-seascape.mov

  • CD must be formatted for viewing with QuickTime™ Version 7.1.2, Player Version 7.1.2.
  • Discs should be labeled with the artist's name, title of work, duration and date.
