PCA School & Community Programs: Summer Dreamers Academy 2014 Interns

Position Description:
School & Community Programs at Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts is seeking four to eight interns to work with us in implementing our art programs as Activity Providers to Pittsburgh Public Schools Summer Dreamers Academy, June-August 2014 (SDA operating June 30-August 6). This is a great opportunity for any one who loves art and is interested in hands-on experience in an arts-in-education program. Interns will be immersed in art-making in schools and the community! 

Position Requirements:
The intern/assistant will be responsible for assisting and communicating with Teaching Artist (TA), communicating with Director of School & Community Programs, communicating with appropriate school site directors regarding program information, taking photos/videos* and communicating with program participants and, if necessary, their families . 
*hands-on work being done by participants including hand shots and face shots (if a photo/media release has been submitted), group shots, TA’s working with students, final performances and/or finished artwork.

Personal transportation is preferable, as you will be traveling to a Pittsburgh Public School. 

Intern should have current (valid through August 31, 2014) clearances for working with children in PA: Act 151, Act 34, FBI Criminal History, Act 24.
